The iPad 3 is the latest must-have product from Apple. After the success of the iPad 2, just one year later the third instalment is being released. The use of music in adverts is nothing new. Since the beginning of television, music has always been heavily relied on to create a certain mood, make the ad memorable or just act as background noise. Chronicle: Not your typical mockumentary

Rating: ***

Today’s post is completely off topic, but I am going to review the film Chronicle which I recently saw in Cinema.

I knew nothing about the film but heard great things. My heart dropped when I realised it was a mockumentary with hand-held cameras. Maybe I’m biased, but most films which use handheld cameras aren’t very good. What is the attraction in watching a bad quality camera shaking around? However, Chronicle is different. The cameras are quite steady and very good quality compared to other mockumentaries. It also features CCTV cameras and police car cameras to give it a more realistic yet unique twist.

For my first post I am going to critically evaluate other blogs that are on a similar topic to mine (music in advertising). However, as my topic is quite narrowed down it is difficult to find similar blogs, thus some of the ones I will be looking at are not necessarily on the same topic but simply have made a post on the same subject.
